Complex problems in combination with pixel level attention to detail are what bring me the most joy at work. I’ve worked on both consumer facing and enterprise software.
Working on such a large range of software has taught me many lessons, both business and design. I’ve been able to work with a wide variety of teams, on an equally diverse set of projects. Projects ranging from contributing to design systems, researching machine learning and algorithmic features, defining the future vision, and conducting usability research.

What’s your favorite part of design?

I really like simplifying complex user interfaces. Adding more buttons and controls is always easy but simplifying an interface is significantly harder. It involves really figuring out a hierarchy. And intelligently surfacing features and functions when they’re needed. Not an easy problem to solve, but one that’s definitely fun to tackle.

How do you like to collaborate?

Early and often. Looping in cross-functional teammates and fellow designers earlier during each project has worked the best for me. That way feedback can be incorporated early and often.

Whats your favorite emoji?

Nobody asked, but I’ll share anyway because it’s fun. This one is easy. Llama hands. Why? Not only is it cute but it applies to every situation there is. Excited for progress on a project? Use llama hands. Someone share something cool on Slack? That’s right, llama hands.
